Your Vision Is Your Fuel

Everyone wants to know the secret to making a living doing work you love.

Even better if they can make a lot of money doing it.

The bad news though, is that there is no secret.

There’s no silver-bullet solution and no single strategy on its own will help make you wealthy... regardless of all of the books and courses that promise you such a thing.

*Sigh*.

The good news though?

It’s possible.

Very possible.

All it takes is a lot of practice (action), mastering your craft and learning as much as you can from the people who’ve already achieved the results you are out to get.

We all have the potential to be entrepreneurs and make a lot of money, but just like anything else in life... it takes a lot of hard work and practice to succeed at it.

The first time I quit my job and tried to make money doing my own thing, I failed miserably. It was a lot of fun, and I learnt a lot during the process - but I failed so hard that I couldn’t help but question my self-worth and ability as an entrepreneur.

My ‘online business’ revolved around selling a supplement and ebook that helps women with fibroids live a more healthy and natural lifestyle (so, embarrassing)... and in the first three months it took me to set everything up, I made $49.00.

That’s when I decided to close shop and quit this entrepreneurship thing for a while. I had no vision, and as a result… I had no fuel.

Here’s what most entrepreneurs won’t tell you.

Making money never really comes from the desire of wanting to make money.

Making money comes from the desire to fulfil your vision.

A vision so clear, so vivid in your imagination that spending a day without it would feel like a part of your soul has gone missing... sunken deep down into the abyss.

That’s the real secret to success.

Your vision is the fuel necessary to help you go the extra mile.

Your vision is what will push you to join the 5 AM club.

Your vision is the only asset you have that will keep you from giving up.

Here’s something worth considering.

You would never travel to a destination without having first researched how to get there, right? Leaving home without directions would be insane! So why do we do this when it comes to our work? Why do we approach it without clear directions?

Without a vision?

If you don’t know where you are going, you simply won’t know how to get there. So before you plan on making a dent in the universe, before you plan on world domination and conquering uncharted territory… take a deep breath, drink some hot tea and figure out what your vision for your thing (whatever it may be) is.

Best of luck, and may the force be with you.
